About Kim

Kim E. Kimmy grew up in a part of Northwestern Pennsylvania she refers to as "the middle of nowhere, and then you go about eighteen miles from there." Her mother encouraged her to have a love of travel, and her father pointed out life lessons from her experiences. Her often-touted remarkable memory has made for some fun stories over the years. Whether she was entertaining her family’s dairy cattle out of rural loneliness, seizing an opportunity as a college freshman for a unique semester in Switzerland, accidental brushes with the famous, creating stunts at the Seattle Space Needle as its director of marketing, or “it’s just your perky attitude and blonde hair,” according to one friend who marveled at how Kim could always get waited on in stores and restaurants when she couldn’t, Kim has captured some hilarious moments from her childhood to her senior years.

Starting in college, Kim found herself in positions of creativity and fun in the newspaper field, hospitality and tourism. She resigned from the Space Needle in 1995 to launch Kim Kimmy Enterprises, providing marketing, public relations, research, writing and special-event services for a myriad of companies and organizations nationwide. She’s happily living in Anacortes, Washington, travels all over the world, and enjoys performing speaking engagements on such subjects as “Traveling on My Funny Bone,” “My Interesting Brushes with the Famous” and emceeing trivia. When she’s not doing that, she’s singing with "Harmony Northwest," a division of Sweet Adelines International, and immersed in a plethora of philanthropic organizations.
